Gone are the days of visiting a brick and mortar store to collect baseball cards. Now the most popular way to buy and sell is online with social media as the primary hub. “Breakers” unveil boxes of cards while “Collectors” anxiously watch live feeds to see if they’ll finally snag the hottest drops.

However, social media wasn’t made for card collecting — that’s where Uncommon comes in. It’s an app designed exclusively for breaking and collecting, without the hassle and clutter of social media.

Our challenge was to introduce Uncommon as the premier place for serious card collectors. To really drive home the idea that social media was the wrong place to collect cards, we created a series of videos that place an athlete in the wrong place. And when you’re in the wrong place, things can get pretty uncomfortable.
