3M Court of Dreams
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX and the Women’s NCAA Final4 tournament in Minneapolis, 3M is proud to present the 3M Court of Dreams. This one-of-a-kind basketball court was designed to honor the dreamers past and present who have helped paved the way to make equality in sports a reality.
We collected signatures and dreams from young students and athletes prior to the event to display on the court floor. Those who visited the event had an opportunity to share their dream on a Post-It note on the Dream Big wall. To make it a true celebration, a confetti display made from Post-It notes hung above the court. Throughout the creation, develop and installation of the event, we collected still and video footage to promote on social media.

“Most unique is the 3M Court of Dreams in the mall’s North Atrium. Through the efforts of 3M, which used print and decorative films, there is an entire basketball court covered with submitted writings from Minnesota residents about what their dreams are. Many came from youngsters, who wrote sports-related things such as wanting to see ‘more women hold leadership positions in pro sports’ and non-sports things such as ‘I want to be a marine biologist.’ A wall next to the court is filled with Post-It notes, each of which features a visitor’s dreams.”
