3M wanted to target a new audience with their premium auto films — the average consumer. To do this, we positioned cars as a form of personal expression that reflects individuality. When it comes to people and their personalities, there’s often more than meets the eye. The campaign highlighted some unexpected contrasts — like sweet grandma Lila who enjoys tea with her cat AND goes off-roading in her free time — to capture attention and challenge stereotypes through a series of video spots and digital content.
